Karatu Library Foundation has helped other libraries in the Yola area by donating duplicate books that they received from containers of books from Books for Africa and other donors.
KLF is a private free library and literacy center in Yola, but we saw the need to help smaller school libraries in the area. One of these is the Jada School for the Handicapped. We have brought them some books and supplies.

Karatu Library Foundation has worked with volunteers from the community and from the American University of Nigeria which is nearby.

Karatu Library Foundation has been fundraising in various ways. There have been several local fundraising parties in order to also raise awareness of this freely available community resource as well as funds.

Karatu also worked with the VOA on a grant program involving distributing "book boxes" to various school libraries in the Yola area on a rotating basis.
